How did you get into your profession?
I attended Oregon State University for undergraduate studies from 1995-1999. I waited until my last quarter of college before I figured out what career I wanted to have. Then I attended the University of Connecticut for School of Dental Medicine. After completion of my Doctorate in 2004 at Connecticut I was accepted into an Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery Residency at Gundersen Lutheran Medical Center in LaCrosse Wisconsin. I’m currently in private practice in Oregon’s Mid Valley including the communities of Salem, Albany, and Corvallis.
As a dental student I was elected to the Honor Board of the School of Medicine and Dental Medicine. As an OMFS resident I was asked to hold a position on the Board of Directors for the Resident Organization of the American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery. During my private practice career I became the chairman of the Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery Department at Salem Hospital.
